Loud Shirt Day

Register for BC’s LOUD SHIRT DAY May 28th 2010 and get “deaf kids talking!”

LOUD SHIRT DAY is one day a year where everyone in BC can go wild and commit some serious fashion crimes by stepping out in their loudest, brightest shirts. You’ll have a whole lot of fun and also help give BC’s deaf children a voice –their voice.

Your participation in Loud Shirt Day raises vitally needed funds to help deaf children across BC reach their listening, language and speech milestones. It also raises the awareness that deaf children can talk and can attend their local school with their hearing siblings and peers, contribute to their community and reach their full potential within the hearing world.

Everyone who participates makes a donation (anything over $20 is fully tax deductible) and all money raised will help deaf children learn to listen and to speak throughout BC.

Loud Shirt Day originated as an initiative of five organisations throughout Australia and one from New Zealand, whose aim is to support deaf and hearing impaired children so they can learn to hear, listen and speak.
